Robert dramaturged a new Wild-West themed adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, or The Gunfight at the Illyria Corral for the University of Northern Colorado in Fall 2009.
Robert presented a paper about dramatic representations of the Rokujō Lady in classical, modern, and contemporary Noh at the 2010 Humanities Education Research Association Conference at the University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso, TX (March 11-13, 2010).
Robert presented a paper about Takeshi Kawamura's contemporary Noh plays at the 34th Annual Comparative Drama Conference in Los Angeles from March 25-27, 2010.
Robert received his PhD in August 2011!
Robert is dramaturging a new Celtic, gender-reversed adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear (Queen Lear) for the University of Northern Colorado in Fall 2012.
Robert was hired for some voiceover artist work for the new Fullmetal Alchemist movie at FUNimation Entertainment in Flower Mound, TX.
March 2012: Robert presented a paper about Deborah Brevoort's adaptation techniques (of Greek tragedy and Japanese Noh) at the 2012 HERA Conference in Salt Lake City, UT.
May 2012: Robert served as the Dramaturg for Brian Mori's CONCESSIONS during the Southern Writers' Project at Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
August 2012: Robert was hired as an Instructor of English and Humanities at Mountain View College in Dallas, TX.
November 2012: QUEEN LEAR opens in Greeley, Colorado.
January 2013: Robert was hired as an Instructor of Theatre/Drama at Mountain View College in Dallas, TX and at Tarrant County College-Northeast in Hurst, TX. This spring, he will direct Alan Ayckbourn's COMIC POTENTIAL at MVC and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at TCC.
August 2013: Robert has been hired as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre for the 2013-14 academic year in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In the spring, he will direct Stephen Karam's Speech and Debate.
October 2013: American Theatre publishes Robert's article about the long-term artistic relationship between Undermain Theatre and playwright Len Jenkin.
February 2014: American Theatre publishes Robert's feature article about "Geek Theatre."
